Here is a Slide show made with Pro Show Gold as practice for our final portfolio, so we know how to do it. This is from a shoot I did with Lacy last week in down town Warrensburg, Missouri.

Portrait — One Light — Jackie L. Manetzke

This is for my portrait photography class. We were supposed to use the studio and light our subject with one light. I was unable to get into the studio this week because it was booked full. I plan on getting the studio next week (hopefully) as long as I can get a time slot that I don’t have class! I checked out some alien bee’s and went to Morrow gym and used one main light along with a hair light on some. To see more visit my Flickr slide show.

Editorial Assignment 3 — by Jackie L. Manetzke

We went to Powell Gardens during our class Thursday and the goal was to get some editorial shots while we were there. Well I figured that I would shoot some plants and flowers and what not; however, I found that the kids playing were more entertaining and by the time I got to shooting the other ’stuff’ I was a bit too hot and needed to get back to school for my next class. Editorial Assignment 2 — Downtown Shoot

Ok so I’m a little late at posting this, but uncontrollable circumstances and what not. Here is my take on an editoral photography shoot. So There is supposed to be assignment in this spot… right about here.  And below are supposed to be a few images.  Well due to insufficient memory on my computer I’m running a little behind on my post processing.  Either time to reformat or just buy a new computer.  The new computer just sounds a bit more appealing, but I think the reformat will have to do for now.   *sigh*

In due time you will see my assignment posted.  — probably late tonight. I know you ALL are looking forward to it.  … Oh and don’t worry I have everything backed up.

Editorial Photography - In Class Shoot - Marie

Monday we had a model come in and we were able to shoot her during an in class demo. She was great to work with and photographed very well. Thanks Marie! Here are a few of my favorite shots. Portriat Class - In Class Shoot

My portrait photography class was lucky enough to have a model come in so we could get to work on our techniques and maybe get a few portfolio pieces. Marie was our model (the daughter of one of the students in my Editorial class) and she was stunning! She was very beautiful and worked well with us. I have to give her props because if I had 12 cameras pointing at me, flash firing rapidly, and a reflector that likes to burn retinas in my face for 2 hours… well lets just say I would be less then cooperative. I think that she maybe using the images that the class has taken for her senior portraits. She will definitely have plenty to choose from! Editorial Assignment 1 - July 4th Celebration

This is my first assignment in my editorial class and I decided to cover the 4th of July Celebration held in Warrensburg, Missouri. It was hot, but the kids seemed to be having a lot of fun. Memory Card Speed

In one of my photography classes the other day I remember a conversation about CF memory cards and which type to buy.  Today I happened across this blog that points out a website that tested a variety of memory card speeds.  Since it would be expensive to test all these cards out myself I found the site rather informative and helpful! ;)  It’s sorted in a table chart by the card name, type of card and download speed… along with other additional info.
